The admission procedures for XXXIII cycle of the PhD program in Information Engineering are now open.

– Deadline for online applications:

 August 25, 2017, h 13:00 (Italian Time, GMT+2).

– The cycle will start on November 1, 2017.

European representation for the project “European Seeds for the Future” HUAWEI

A group of 74 technology students from across the EU have presented their ‘Manifesto for the Digital Europe of Tomorrow’.
The manifesto was handed over during an event in Brussels with the participation of MEPs Anneli Jäätteenmäki, Vice-President of the European Parliament, MEPs Ilhan Kyuchyuk and Ramona Mănescu, President of the Public Affairs and Communications Dept (Huawei) Chen Lifang and Vice-President of the European Public Affairs and Communications Office (Huawei) Tony Graziano.
The Italian representation was carried out by 4 ICT talents, selected from the participants of “Talent Lab Seeds for the Future” among which Alessandro Nastro, student of the PhD program in Information Engineering (Department of Information Engineering, University of Brescia).

“Researcher of the Year 2016 Commercial Application” Award

Estefanía Núñez Carmona won the “Researcher of the Year 2016 Commercial Application” award by presenting a business plan for the commercialization and application of the S3, Nanowire sensor device created in the Sensor Lab, to the SMEs of the agri-food sector at the event “Entrepreneurship Summer Academy”.

The event was held from 6th to 10th June in Potsdam, Germany, organized by TRADEIT. This organization based it activity in the commercial transfer of research to the world of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The award consists of a voucher and a publication in Taste of Science journal designed by TRADEIT and EFFoST (European Federation of Food Science and Technology).
