|INFORMATION INFRASTRUCTURES TO IMPLEMENT CYBER PHYSICAL PRODUCTION SYSTEMS
Research activity is linked to the consolidting concept of Industry 4.0 referring to the ability to introduce technologies in manufacturing machines to collect and structure detailed information from sensors and controls in order to consolidate an experience to be used to optimise future manifacturing processes, identify possibile anomalies, their cause and repairing strategies and finally to improve manufacturing process quality and efficiency and machines uptime.
The effort to develop a generic ontology dedicated to the application to manufacturing environment of CPS concept is enabling the exploitment of a generic model to apply the same concept to other sectors like health, wellness and sports and in general to the representation in the cyber space of any mechatronic component.
Professional engineer, active for over 25 years in the manufacturing sector, both as a consultant and as a manager, with particular focus on the issues of production, innovation and industrial control. After the first years at a large international consulting firm that allowed him to develop expertise on production and product design, entered as a manager in Lucchini SpA, in the period of greatest expansion of the steel group. Founder and CEO of Lutech Spa, the group company dedicated to ICT, he has worked for several years in the telecommunications sector. Since 2007 he works as a consultant engineer with particular focus on services to small and medium-sized enterprises specifically focusing on improving production processes and technology transfer, as Partner of Studio Maruggi a professional and consulting firm based in Brescia. He owns the position of Cluster Manager in AFIL – Associazione Fabbrica Intelligente Lombardia and Board Member in CFI, the national cluster for intelligent manufacturing.
