SYNTHESIS OF METAL OXIDE NANOSTRUCTURES FOR GAS SENSOR APPLICATIONS

Semiconductor metal oxides offer a stable, selective and sensitive layer. Also, nanostructures have high surface area depending on their aspect ratio (surface-to-volume ratio) and this provides improving sensor parameters such as sensitivity, low limit of detection, low response time etc. for metal oxide based gas sensors. My research activity is based on synthesis of low dimensional metal oxides, their structural and electrical characterization, gas sensor properties.

SYNTHESIS OF ZNO NANOSTRUCTURES WITH MAGNETRON SPUTTTERING

Recently, some studies have shown that there is an increasing trend on synthesis of MOX nanostructures with magnetron sputtering. In this sense, we are searching proper sputtering parameters for direct synthesis of ZnO nanostructures.
