|MARKERLESS MOTION CAPTURE USING TIME-OF-FLIGHT CAMERAS IN HEALTHCARE
Musculoskeletal disorders such as back pain is an inherent consequence for caregivers. This could be avoided by teaching correct movements early on in the training phase. A virtual training system which reviews the performance of trainees in real time and provides them with feedback could lessen the time and financial resources required for students to practice correct movements. A system is proposed which would monitor the students’ performance and provides them with feedback. Using multiple consumer grade Time-of-Flight cameras and force insoles, ground reaction forces and posture is determined. Through this information a biomechanical model can be generated detailing internal stresses for various bones and joints.
Muneeb Hassan completed his Bachelors in Mechatronics Engineering in 2013 from Islamabad, Pakistan and then moved to Weingarten, Germany to pursue his Masters in Mechatronics. He got his M.Sc. degree in 2015 and is since working as a research assistant in Universtiy of Applied Sciences Ravensburg-Weingarten.
