CODING AND CONSTELLATION SHAPING IN CODED MODULATION SCHEMES
The communication of information has always been an important research topic, especially since 1948, when Claude E. Shannon wrote his famous paper A Mathematical Theory of Communication, creating the Information Theory field. Since then, many researchers studied how to maximize the rate of information transmitted on a telecommunication channel. The standard choice is the usage of source/channel coding and a modulator. |
