I will be working on the hardware and software stack of wireless communication devices to evaluate their security and potential performance improvements, focusing on Wi-Fi and cellular baseband technology. We aim to enhance security measures and improve device efficiency through analysis of current and emerging wireless protocols.
Hey, I’m Federico/ceres-c, and I graduated in Computer Security at VUSec Amsterdam with a master thesis on Intel microcode voltage glitching. I like all things hardware and low level; previously, I worked on hardware attacks on different platforms and I now want to explore the world of radio basebands with their peculiar challenges. I am looking forward experimenting with new attack vectors such as EMFI and laser glitching.
I have a soft spot for NFC devices due to their high pervasiveness and the inherent design constraints. I would love to build the next generation of RFID research hardware
TL;DR My idea of a fun evening is two friends in front of an oscilloscope :)
