Rich vehicle routing problems: models, algorithms and applications

The implementation of Rich Vehicle Routing Problems raises from the tendency to combine multiple constraints for tackling realistic problems. Our research ranges from the Healthcare sector to the more logistic field of Last Mile (LMD) and Attended Home Delivery (AHD). Regarding Healthcare, we focus on Home Care modelling and optimizing deterministic and stochastic problems enriched by service-level constraints such as time windows and continuity of care. In logistic, we assess both locker-based and attended home deliveries investigating their environmental and economic impact. For all problems, we provide MILP formulations and effective meta-heuristic procedures able to provide high quality feasible solutions.
