The advent of digital twin technology has introduced novel methods for monitoring and optimizing various systems, ranging from industrial processes to urban planning. As digital technologies evolve, their application in addressing sustainability challenges becomes increasingly relevant. This research focuses on leveraging digital twin technology to track and analyze user behaviors both at home and in broader social and corporate environments, with the ultimate goal of reducing environmental footprints and enhancing sustainability awareness. This study seeks to enhance user engagement and motivation to adopt sustainable practices by incorporating gamification elements in interaction and user experience design. The research will also address ethical and acceptance issues, proposing frameworks for ensuring user privacy and gaining trust. Ultimately, this study will contribute to understanding how digital twin technology can be leveraged to advance sustainability initiatives, foster an environmentally conscious workplace, and support the broader United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
