Short Bio

My name is Girma Tariku Woldesemayat. I hold a master’s degree in communication technology and Multimedia from the University of Brescia, Italy. Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of Information Engineering at the same university. My doctoral research focuses on Artificial Intelligence applications in soil monitoring for biodiversity and resource optimization in wine production. Specifically, my work involves utilizing remote-sensing images captured by drones. I leverage Artificial Intelligence algorithms and techniques to perform plant species identification and classification. This research is crucial in enhancing significant implications for biodiversity studies, plant community analysis, and long-term monitoring of plant species in response to environmental changes.
