Awarded to: Leonardo Lamanna


Dr. Leonardo Lamanna has won the “Marco Cadoli” award 2023 for his PhD thesis titled “Integrating Planning and Learning for Agents Acting in Unknown Environments.” The research was conducted in a productive scientific collaboration between DRII/DII (supervised by Professor A. Gerevini) and the Bruno Kessler Foundation (supervised by Dr. P. Traverso), which also funded the doctoral scholarship. The award is an annual recognition given by the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AIxIA) for the best doctoral thesis in the field of artificial intelligence at the national level. The award ceremony will take place on 8th November during the international AIxIA 2023 conference, which will be held in Rome from 6th to 9th November.
