The objective of is related to the optimization of production processes and reduction of consumption in energy-intensive companies in the steel sector, that is achieved by the development of innovative mathematical programming techniques for a sustainable industry.

Short Bio

I’m Lorenzo a PhD Student in Operations Research at the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Brescia, Italy. In February 2023 I achieved a Master Degree in Computer Science Engineering at the University of Brescia, Italy, with a thesis titled: A Branch-Price-and-Cut approach for the two-dimensional circular packing problem, done in collaboration with the professor Jean-François Côté, at the Université Laval.
