Study and development of innovative sensors for the creation of smart objects

CurriculumElectronics Engineering, Sensors and Instrumentation
AdvisorEmilio Sardini
Research groupTo be confirmed

The growing diffusion of printing techniques has enabled, through the use of printed electronics (PE), the design and production of printed sensors that can be integrated into object making them “smart objects” . Beyond their primary functionalities, the smart objects can measure, elaborate and transmit physical quantities of the environment in which they are implemented. PE makes it possible to create sensors, interconnections and antennas on the surface of devices. My research proposes using different PE technologies to create contactless sensors based on a resonant circuit.

Profile

Short Bio

I’m Claudio Pirola, born on 21.12.1993. I got my master degree in electronic engineering at UNIBS in 2024. Now I’m part of Sensor’s research group as a PhD student, my research is mainly focused on flexible printed sensors with dedicated front-end electronics.
