His research focuses on the integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) into recommender systems. A central theme is how conceptual modeling and the structured organization of domain data can provide a reliable foundation for the recommendation process, so that recommendations remain grounded in verifiable information. The aim is to pair the flexibility of LLMs with the precision of structured knowledge. He is also interested in conversational settings, where LLMs can be leveraged to capture and maintain evolving user preferences. Overall, his work aims to support more reliable, personalized, and transparent recommendations.

Stefano Picchi is a PhD student in Information Engineering (Computer Science) at University of Brescia, under the supervision of prof. Devis Bianchini. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Brescia.
