Chitosan from food waste for sustainable applications in agriculture and organic electronics: development of functionalized nanoparticles and smart biomaterials

This project focuses on using chitosan recovered from food waste for organic electronics, dye degradation, and eco-friendly agriculture. Specifically, we synthesize chitosan-based nanoparticles directly designed to treat and protect plants—delivering a fully circular solution for sustainable farming and environmental cleanup.
