|RECOGNIZING TEXTUAL ENTAILMENT AND CONTRADDICTION
Main topics are machine learning and computational linguistic. I am conducting my research activity at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) in Trento, in particular in the Human Language Technology – Natural Language Processing (HLT-NLP) group.
For the research I use the Excitement Open Platform (EOP), a java application for textual entailment recognition (RTE). Some of the main activities are evaluation and development of entailment recognition algorithms, combined with the study and development of lexical resources for the task. To wide my view and enlarge my technical skills I’ve also taken into consideration paraphrase recognition and semantic textual similarity (STS), I study “state of art” algorithms used for these tasks and I try to use them for RTE, I evaluate common points of the different tasks, and I try to identify differences that influence the performances of these approaches changing the task.
