|LEVERAGING THE SOFTWARE DEFINE RADIO PARADIGM FOR IMPROVING THE RELIABILITY OF WIRELESS NETWORKS
Software Define Radio paradigm enables simple reconfiguration of the channel access mechanism. In the case of reconfigurable hardware this allows to deploy experimental scenarios with many nodes working in conditions similar to those of a real network. We want to explore this paradigm to implement and experimentally analyse security and reliability mechanisms that exploit the physical layer properties of the wireless channel. These include but are not limited to jamming, ranging and localisation, covert channels etc. We plan to explore both custom-off-the-shelf and dedicated hardware to show interoperability of the developed techniques.
