NANOSTRUCTURED OXIDES AND COMPSITE FOR CHEMICAL SENSOR

My research project is forces on synthesis graphene oxide compsite using
neural graphite and growth of metal oxide nanostructures using vapour liquid solid technique. Graphene oxide was synthesised using modified Hummers method and I started to growth SnO2 and MoO3 on alumina 2 · 2 mm2 substrate using vapour liquid solid technique. Au, Pt used as a catalyst to grow nanostructures and I used RF Magnetron sputtering technique to deposit of catalyst particles on the alumina substrate. Drop cast technique was used to deposit graphene oxide on top of the SnO2 nanowires and fabricated sensors were tested towards various concentrations of different gases in different working temperatures. This hybrid sensors show a reversible response to H2 and NO2 at low operating temperature. Nanostructures were morphologically investigate mean by SEM (LEO 1525). XRD and Raman spectroscopy were used to investigate the structural characterization.
