IDENTIFICATION OF OBJECTS BASED ON HYBRID TECHNOLOGIES

Object Retrieval is a field of interest in the matter of Computer Vision. It consists of the process of identification of objects inside a image or a video. It exploits different techniques for representing the salient visual characteristics of an image, which they are compared to reference data according to a given distance metric. This phase is called Machine Learning, and its result is a probability distribution predicting which objects are the most probable to be present in the image. OR/ML are used in many real-life applications such as video-stabilization, automatic parking techniques, cell-count, and many others. My PhD focuses on the in-depth study of state-of-the-art technologies, and on reaching improvements in retrieval performances combining different approaches.
